Saudi and Qatar strongly condemns bombing on security checkpoint in Somalia

Jeddah(SONNA)- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the bombing that targeted a security checkpoint and a tax collection center in the city of Afgooye, northwest of the Somali capital Mogadishu, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

The Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s stance rejecting all manifestations of violence, terrorism and extremism.

It also expressed the Kingdom’s condolence to the families of the victims and the Somali government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

While, Qatar has strongly condemned of the bombing that targeted a security point and a tax collection centre in the Somali town of Afgooye, causing injuries.

In a statement Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.

It wished the injured a speedy recovery.
