Garowe, (SONNA) – President of Puntland, H.E. Said Abdullahi Dani, officially laid the foundation stone for the International Healthcare System (IHS) Hospital in Garowe—set to become the largest medical facility in the region. The modern hospital will be the first of its kind in Puntland, aiming to meet healthcare demands that previously required patients to seek treatment abroad.
President Dani praised the initiative and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting, welcoming, and encouraging anyone investing in their homeland. He offered special thanks to Dr. Darman Aden, MD, FACP, representing the IHS Health Care System, for spearheading the project.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Puntland government, Nugaal regional officials, Garowe district authorities, presidential advisers, an IHS delegation, and various community representatives. The new hospital is expected to significantly improve access to advanced medical services in Puntland.
