Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, officially presided over the handover ceremony between the outgoing Second Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Abdisaalam Abdulle Ali, and the newly appointed Second Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Hamza emphasized the need to accelerate the government’s key priorities and urged the new Deputy Prime Minister to focus on critical national initiatives, including the implementation of the civil service salary harmonization policy, the liberation of areas still under terrorist control, and support for the armed forces fighting against the Khawarij insurgents.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the outgoing Deputy Prime Minister for his significant contributions, particularly in advancing military operations against extremist groups and mobilizing public support for the heroic national forces.
