President of Hirshabelle State Holds Meeting with a section of International aid Organizations.

Jowhar, July 5, 2023 – The President of Hirshabelle State, Mr. Ali Guudlaawe Husein, recently convened a crucial meeting with a distinguished delegation comprising representatives from renowned international organizations including World Vision, DRC ICF, and SOMREP. The delegation arrived in Jowhar to engage in discussions surrounding vital development projects in the region.

The meeting centered on the imperative nature of implementing various development initiatives that these organizations have undertaken in collaboration with Hirshabelle State. Chief among these projects is the revitalization of the Shabelle River basin, agricultural advancements, and the establishment of thriving fishing communities. Additionally, topics such as humanitarian aid provision and youth employment initiatives were extensively addressed during the discussions.

President Guudlawe emphasized the pivotal role played by these organizations in fostering progress and development in areas recently liberated from the clutches of the extremist group Al-Shabaab. He highlighted how these initiatives have the potential to significantly improve the quality of life for local communities.
