Cairo, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, H.E Ahmed Abuu Al-Qeyd, and applauded the countries and leaders of the Arab nations in their support of Somalia’s unity and Sovereignty.
The President who is in Egypt on an official visit thanked the Arab League Nations for opposing Ethiopia’s ill intentions and Supporting Somalia’s territorial integrity.
President Hassan Sheikh and the Secretary-General also discussed the security and the strategy of the Red Sea’s important passage of Baab Al-Mandeb, the situation in the Horn of Africa, and the consequences that can arise from Ethiopia’s dangerous move in undermining Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President Mohamud shared with the leadership of the Arab League the united position of the Somali people and the Somali government against the desire of the Ethiopian Prime Minister’s government against our sea and land.
The Secretary of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Abuu Al-Qeyd, expressed the efforts and support of the Arab League to strengthen the unity and independence of Somalia, and he said that the violation of the Republic of Somalia, which is the basis of stability in the region, is unacceptable.
