Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Tuesday received credentials from the new Swedish Ambassador to Somalia, Per Lindgarde, replacing its former envoy, Staffan Tillander whose term ended, SONNA reported.
Mr. Lindgarde presented greetings from Swedish King, Carl XVI Gustaf to President Farmajo and expressed his willingness on enhancing friendly ties between the two countries while thanking Somali Government and people for welcoming him in Mogadishu.
Both President Farmajo and the new Swedish envoy to Somalia, Lindgarde discussed ways to strengthen diplomatic relation between the two sides which is based on cooperation in areas of security, humanitarian aid, economy, investment and social development.
