Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Hamza Adan Haadoow, received on Wednesday, in his office at the Ministry in the capital, Mogadishu, the Head of the IGAD Mission to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Mohamud Abdi Ahmed, and discussed with him enhancing cooperation and coordination in areas of joint work.
The meeting underscored the importance of the ratification of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Treaty and explored opportunities for collaboration on Blue Economy initiatives, with a focus on ensuring the sustainable use of marine resources, fostering economic growth, and safeguarding the environment.
