HUDUR, BAKOOL REGION — A new deep water well project has been initiated in the Bakool region, with a groundbreaking ceremony led by the Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe). The project, located in the town of Hudur, is part of a broader push for development and is a personal initiative of the Speaker to address the critical water needs of the local community.

The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Pasture, as well as administrators from the Bakool region and the Hudur district. Their presence highlights the significant government support behind the project and its potential impact on the area.

During his address, Speaker Madoobe emphasized that the water well is one of many development projects planned for the region. He stated that the deep well in Hudur is a direct response to the community’s need for a reliable water source. The project is expected to provide a sustainable solution to the town’s water shortages, which have been a long-standing challenge.

Drilling for the deep well is scheduled to begin in the coming days. The project is a key step towards improving the living conditions and overall well-being of the residents of Hudur, and it reflects the government’s commitment to delivering essential services and infrastructure to the regions.

The launch of this project is a welcome development for the people of Bakool, signaling a renewed focus on regional development and a collaborative approach between national and local leaders to tackle pressing issues. It sets a positive precedent for future development initiatives aimed at building a more resilient and prosperous Somalia.
