National Army kills 20 terrorist militants, recover weapons near Dhusamareb town

Mogadishu(SONNA)-At least 20 terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab were on Wednesday killed, and others injured after Somali National Army conducted operation at an area close to Dhusamareb town in Galgudud region under Galmudug State, SONNA reported.

Somali National Army’s Chief, Odowa Yusuf Rage told Somali National Army that the forces preempted the terrorists’ attack and recovered explosive elements which they were going to menace people in the region.

He said that the army foiled a car bomb attack in Guriel town Sunday and killed 6 members from the militants during the operation, saying this is second military progress made so far.

Al-Shabaab militants said that they clashed with SNA and attacked with explosions near Dhusamareb town, the administrative capital of Galmudug State.
