Mesagawey, Galgaduud Region – The National Army forces in Mesagawey, Galgaduud region, successfully neutralized a terrorist plotter at a checkpoint in the city. The individual, who was armed with an AK-47, was shot dead by the army officers stationed at the checkpoint. This decisive action underscores the ongoing efforts of the National Army to maintain security and thwart terrorist activities in the region.

In a related development, the National Army forces intercepted three vehicles in the area of Hussein Cagey. These vehicles were found to be carrying fuel supplies intended for terrorist groups. The interception of these vehicles is a critical blow to the logistical support of the terrorist factions operating in the region.

Moreover, the officials revealed that the vehicles were transporting women who were allegedly en route to join the terrorist groups. The women are now in the custody of the National Army, and further investigations are underway to determine their involvement and intentions. This operation highlights the multifaceted approach of the National Army in combating terrorism, not only by engaging armed combatants but also by disrupting their supply chains and recruitment efforts.

The successful execution of these operations demonstrates the National Army’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the region. The authorities have reiterated their resolve to continue such operations to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent any resurgence of their activities. This latest development is a testament to the vigilance and dedication of the National Army in safeguarding the nation against the threat of terrorism.
