MOGADISHU, SONNA – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale), today presented promotions to officers from the Municipal Police of Xamar Municipality on behalf of the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The promotions were awarded during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Banadir Regional Administration.

The event saw the presence of the Commander of the Municipal Police of Banadir, General Mohamed Ali Carabow, who expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, as well as the President of Somalia, for recognizing the hard work and dedication of the officers. He highlighted the crucial role these officers play in leading the command and ensuring the safety and security of the region.

Governor Jimale emphasized the importance of the Municipal Police in stimulating the economy, beautifying the capital, and preventing drug abuse. He reaffirmed his commitment to continually motivate and improve the force to better serve the community. “The Municipal Police are the backbone of economic stimulation, the beautification of the capital, and the prevention of drug abuse. I am always committed to motivating and improving our force,” he stated.
