Galgaduud, Somalia In a significant blow to the extremist group Al-Shabaab, the Ministry of Defense has confirmed the successful neutralization of 30 terrorists in a recent operation in Galgaduud’s Galhareeri district. Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Abdullahi Ali Anood, announced the news during a press briefing, shedding light on the details of the operation.

According to General Anood, the operation targeted the Khawaarij group Al-Shabaab, a notorious terrorist organization that has plagued the region for years. The operation took place in the Afgobaad area of ElBaad, where the terrorists were engaged in an armed confrontation with the national army. The skillful execution of the operation resulted in the neutralization of all 30 terrorists involved.

One of the most noteworthy achievements of the operation was the interception of an explosive-laden vehicle. The vigilant efforts of the national army were pivotal in thwarting an imminent threat. The driver of the vehicle was stopped just before reaching the army, demonstrating the effectiveness of cooperation between locals and the national intelligence agency. This collaborative approach ensured that areas occupied by Al-Shabaab were effectively avoided, safeguarding civilian lives and enhancing the success of the operation.

The intensified efforts to eradicate Al-Shabaab come as part of renewed initiatives to eliminate the terror group from the region. The recent success serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the national army and its collaborative efforts with local communities and intelligence agencies.

The operation signifies a significant stride towards restoring peace and stability to the Galgaduud region, which has long been affected by the menace of terrorism. The Ministry of Defense’s successful operation against Al-Shabaab reflects a resolute determination to counteract the threat posed by extremist groups.

As the war on terror gains momentum in Somalia, this operation sends a clear message that the country’s security forces are united and determined to neutralize any threats to the nation’s peace and security. The collaborative approach demonstrated in this operation highlights the importance of the public’s involvement in eradicating the menace of terrorism.

With this recent success, the Ministry of Defense and its allies have marked a significant victory in their ongoing battle against Al-Shabaab, reinforcing their commitment to creating a safer, more secure Somalia for all its citizens.
