Mogadishu, (SONNA)-: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E Abshir Omar Jama, on Sunday held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at his office in Mogadishu.
The delegation led by Ambassador Yousef Aldobeay, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, the meeting covered several critical humanitarian issues affecting Somalia.
The discussion focused on the impact of drought on Somali farmers, the Somali government’s efforts to complete debt relief, lifting the 32-year-old arms embargo, and the OIC’s full support for Somalia’s bid to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
