Minister of Foreign Affairs meet his Sudanese counterpart in Riyadh

Riyadh, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Moalim Fiqi had a sideline meeting with Sudan’s Foreign Minister, H.E Ali Yussuf Al Sharif, in Riyadh today to reaffirm the enduring brotherly relationship between Somalia and Sudan. The discussions emphasized the deep respect and value that Somalia holds for its historical ties with Sudan, acknowledging Sudan’s support during Somalia’s challenging times.

Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi expressed Somalia’s unwavering solidarity with the Sudanese people, committing to support all efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the current conflict. Both ministers stressed the importance of regional stability and prosperity, pledging their dedication to principles of peace, unity, and mutual respect.

Somalia and Sudan envision a future of strengthened cooperation, driven by their shared goals and an enduring commitment to regional harmony.
