Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of Hirshabelle State of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ali Gudlawe Hussein received the World Food Program’s (WFP) Deputy Country Director for Somalia, Mr. Laura Turner, and her delegation in Jowhar, the administrative capital of Hirshabelle State.
The meeting discussed the overflow of the Shabelle River and the problems it causes in the Hirshabelle State.
The meeting also focused on the support of the farmers in the development of production, assisting the displaced persons, financing the farmers of the cooperative, the effects of climate change, youth employment, and the role of the WFP in developing the liberated areas.
The meeting was attended by Ministers and other officials of the Hirshabelle State, and the President thanked the WFP organization for their unwavering support of the Somali people.
