Hiraan Region, In a resolute show of solidarity and support for the national army and local mobilization force, Governor Abdullahi Ahmed Maalin Sufurow of Hiraan, along with Hirshabeelle Minister for Transport and Aviation Muse Salad Wehliye and other high-ranking officials, visited the frontlines of the ongoing battle against the notorious extremist group Al-Shabaab.

The governor’s visit to the frontline location of Oya-Mago within the Hiraan region marked a pivotal moment in the fight against terrorism. Governor Sufurow’s presence served as a motivating force for the soldiers who have been valiantly combating Al-Shabaab’s insurgency. Expressing gratitude for their unwavering courage and the triumphs achieved in pushing back the enemy, Governor Sufurow conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the brave troops.

The visit also provided an opportunity for Governor Sufurow to commend the national army and the local forces for their steadfast defense of the area. Recent attempts by Al-Shabaab to mount an ambush were swiftly thwarted, with the insurgents’ threat neutralized by the resilient efforts of the armed forces. Governor Sufurow praised the soldiers for their remarkable achievement in repelling the enemy, ensuring the safety of the region.

During his visit, Governor Sufurow made a solemn promise of unwavering support to the forces stationed at the frontline. He assured them that his commitment to their cause was resolute and unshakable. Furthermore, he pledged to continue pushing forward, relentlessly pursuing the terrorists until the entire region is free from their menace.

Governor Sufurow’s leadership shines brightly as he spearheads efforts to bolster the morale of the troops in preparation for the conclusion of phase one of the operation against Al-Shabaab. The governor’s determined efforts are focused on rallying the forces and enhancing their readiness for the next phase, which will aim to liberate the remaining two states under the control of the extremist group – Jubbaland and Southwest State.

As Governor Abdullahi Ahmed Maalin Sufurow stands firmly alongside the brave men and women on the frontlines, his visit serves as an emblem of unity, resilience, and the collective determination to rid the region of the scourge of terrorism. The people of Hiraan and the entire nation stand united in their resolve to achieve lasting peace and security.
