Eldheer, (SONNA):- A meeting was held on Thursday between the security agencies of Eldheer district and the local community to discuss ways to improve the security situation and maintain peace and stability in the area.

The meeting was attended by the commander of the 24th Brigade, Khalid Binu-Walid, Major Mohamed Dhegaweyne, and other security officials, as well as elders, religious leaders, women and youth representatives from the district.

Major Dhegaweyne, who spoke to the national media after the meeting, said that the security forces and the residents have agreed to work together to prevent any threats from the Khawarij, a term used to refer to the extremist group Al-Shabaab.

He said that the security forces are committed to protecting the lives and properties of the people, and urged the local community to support the army in the work of security, and take an active role in eliminating the Khawarij.
