Munich, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Salah Ahmed Jama, participated in the Munich Security Conference 2025.
The conference focused on global security issues, particularly counter-terrorism, climate change, and the current political landscape worldwide.
Mr. Salah highlighted Somalia’s progress in security and stability, emphasizing the government’s efforts against extremist groups, especially Al-Shabaab and ISIS. He noted that operations across the country have achieved significant successes in liberating areas previously controlled by these groups, leading to a restoration of stability and good governance.
The Deputy Prime Minister also shared with global leaders and experts Somalia’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and enhancing the reconstruction of security institutions. He stressed the importance of international support for Somalia to overcome terrorist threats and ensure sustainable development.
