Mogadishu (SONNA)- Danab forces with partner support conducted airstrikes against al-Shabaab militants in Qaycad village between WISIL and Bacaadweyn in the Galmudug State, Somalia on July 20, 2021.
No civilians were injured or killed as a result of the strikes and the al-Shabaab terrorists have suffered great loss. At least 20 have been killed in the strike and many wounded. This loss will be greatly felt by al-Shabaab terrorist as they lose their cruel grip on the people of Galmudug state.
The strike destroyed a fortified enemy position as the Somali National Army (SNA) and Danab forces engaged in active combat with al-Shabaab in Qaycad. The SNA and Danab have been successfully fighting al-Shabaab extremists in Galmudug state over the past several days to free the Somali people from al-Shabaab’s cruel control.
SNA and Danab continue to work together to promote a peaceful and stable Somalia where violent extremist organizations like al-Shabaab have no place.
