Mogadishu, (SONNA): The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohmaud Ma’allin Abdulle, welcomed the Somali Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Aweys Haji, at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) today.
During the meeting, they discussed several critical issues, including the diplomatic follow-up on promises made by the King Salman Center and the Saudi Fund. These pledges encompass a range of development and aid projects, such as the construction of regional government emergency centers, water wells, aid stores, medical equipment, fire engines, and ambulances. While some of these projects have been approved, they have yet to be delivered to SoDMA agency.
The discussions aimed to ensure that these vital resources reach Somalia promptly to enhance the country’s disaster management capabilities and support its ongoing development efforts.
