Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Chairman of Somalia’s National Independent Electoral Commission and Boundaries, Abdikarim Ahmed Hassan, held a preliminary meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Ambassador Karin Johansson.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed key issues related to Somalia’s electoral processes and the strategic plans of the National Independent Electoral Commission and Boundaries.
Chairman Abdikarim emphasized that the commission is committed to ensuring that the Somali people have the opportunity to freely elect their leaders across all administrative levels in the country. The discussions underscored the importance of collaboration between the commission and international partners like the EU to support Somalia’s democratic development.
