Followed by yesterday’s game which was played by Warta Nabada and Shingani districts. The game was fully packed by supporters from both teams, and finally, Warta Nabada won the match on penalty kicks (5-3). The games have entertained the capital and kept everyone in it on their heels.

The Banadir District cup which is played every year has had the residents of Mogadishu entertained and kept their focus on sports. People come from different areas to attend the match and enjoy the beautiful game of the youth.

Somalia which is still considered a failed state in most counties continues to prove them wrong by making developments in all areas of the country including sports, architecture, employment, and many other areas. The government conducted teachers’ exams at the beginning of this year intending to hire 3,000 teachers, and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also promised the government will hire 10,000 more teachers to increase employment in the country.

The cup was broadcasted by local Televisions including Astaan Sports which is the leading TV program in all parts of Mogadishu and Asal Sports.

The Banadir District cup was supported by the Banadir Municipality and the Somali Police Force to make sure the cup started and ends smoothly, and make the safety of the supporters and the players are assured. Hospitals in Mogadishu and the district governors have taken a huge part to show support and encourage the youth.

The final game is expected to take place at Injiner Yarisow Stadium in Abdiaziz district in the coming days.
