South West Interim Leader Meets Presidential Candidate to Discuss Elections and Political Process

Baidoa (SONNA) — The Interim Leader of South West State of Somalia, H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji, on Monday received presidential candidate Mr. Abdiaziz Mohamed Sheikh Osman (Jawaari) at the Presidential Palace in Baidoa. The meeting served as a political consultation, with both sides discussing the overall political situation, the electoral process, and the importance of strengthening unity and stability across the regions. Mr. Jibril Abdirashid Haji welcomed the candidate and emphasized the need for elections to be conducted in a transparent, fair, and lawful manner, in line with the country’s legal framework. Presidential candidate Mr. Abdiaziz Mohamed Sheikh Osman (Jawaari) expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to state-building, peace, and the reconstruction of Somalia.
