Southwest State Leader Opens Education Development Conference

Baidoa, (SONNA) — The Leader of Southwest State of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) officially opened the Southwest State Education Development Conference, focused on strengthening the education system, improving quality, enhancing teacher capacity and expanding access to education for children and youth.
Sheikh Adan Madobe stressed the importance of education to social development, peace and building a better future for the next generation, reaffirming Southwest State’s commitment to prioritising education and supporting efforts to strengthen knowledge and skills.
The conference brings together Southwest State officials, led by Minister of Education Mohamed Osman Jiidow, teachers, education stakeholders and members of the wider community. The conference is expected to produce practical recommendations and plans to further advance education across Southwest State.
