Somalia, UNDP Strengthen Development Cooperation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali today received the credentials of Christophoros Politis, the newly appointed UNDP Representative to Somalia.
Following the credentials ceremony, Politis held a meeting with the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Hamza Adan Haadoow, during which the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework to strengthen cooperation in support of Somalia’s development priorities.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening development cooperation and welcomed the continued support of UNDP in strengthening Somalia’s government institutions and promoting sustainable national growth.
