Somalia U-17 Ready to Make History in CECAFA Final Against Uganda

Kigali, (SONNA) — Somalia's national under-17 football team will face Uganda this evening at 4:30 pm in the final of the CECAFA East and Central Africa tournament, which will be held at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
The Ocean Stars reached the final after defeating Rwanda, the tournament's host, on penalties in the quarter-finals, a result that raised confidence and hope of winning the cup.
This evening's match is a major opportunity for the national team's boys to write another historic page, as they aim to win the East and Central Africa cup for the second time, having previously won it in 2022.
The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abduqadir Ali, and the President of the Somali Football Federation and Vice President of CECAFA, Mr. Ali Abdi Mohamed (Ali Shiine), have shown their support and encouragement to the national team's stars, wishing them victory against Uganda and a historic triumph for their country.
