Somalia, Türkiye Discuss Justice and Judicial Cooperation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Maalim Mohamud, met with his Turkish counterpart, H.E. Akın Gürlek, in Istanbul to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in justice and judicial affairs.

The meeting focused on judicial cooperation, criminal investigations, legal education, the modernization of justice systems through technology, and capacity-building for justice sector professionals.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the International Justice Conference, which Minister Hassan Maalim is attending in Istanbul, and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and exchange expertise to improve justice services and judicial institutions in both countries.
