Somalia, South Korea Discuss Enhanced Security Cooperation

Mogadishu-Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), on Wednesday met with South Korea's Ambassador to Somalia, Kang Hyung-shik, to discuss strengthening bilateral security cooperation.

The talks focused on maritime security, combating piracy, and enhancing the capacity of the Somali Police Force, Coast Guard, and Navy through training, technical support, and the exchange of expertise.

The Minister thanked the Republic of Korea for its continued support, emphasizing the importance of closer cooperation in advancing Somalia's security, peace, and stability.
