Somalia Participates in the Global Digital Forum 2026 in Moscow

Moscow, (SONNA) — Somali officials participated in the Global Digital Forum 2026 in Moscow, Russia, which brought together government officials, technology experts, business leaders and representatives of international organizations and media to discuss advances in digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.

The forum featured discussions on the use of technology to improve public services, support businesses, protect data and enhance the efficiency of daily operations.

Participants also examined the growing role of AI in the media sector, including news production and distribution, data analysis and efforts to strengthen public trust in media amid the rapid expansion of AI-powered technologies.

The Somali delegation participated in discussions and exchanges on digital transformation, innovation and emerging technologies, highlighting opportunities for knowledge-sharing and international cooperation.

The Global Digital Forum 2026 also provided a platform for participants to exchange experiences and explore innovative approaches to challenges facing business, communications and public services.
