Somalia Opens Diaspora Leaders Engagement Conference in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali (Nadaara), today opened the three-day Somali Diaspora Leaders Engagement Conference, convened by the Office of the Prime Minister with the Ministry's Department of Diaspora Affairs. H.E. Hamza Adan Haadow, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, was also present.
The conference brings together 30 Somali diaspora leaders from Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa alongside representatives of federal institutions to develop a Diaspora Engagement Roadmap, aligning the expertise, networks and investment of Somalis abroad with the National Transformation Plan 2025-2029. The Office of the Prime Minister is technical lead, with support from the Department of Diaspora Affairs at the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
