Somalia, Morocco Boost Energy and Mining Cooperation

Rabat, Morocco(SONNA)-A Somali federal government delegation has held talks with Moroccan officials to strengthen cooperation in renewable energy, mining, petroleum and agriculture.

The talks focused on developing solar and wind energy, technical training for Somali workers in mining and petroleum, and expanding agricultural production.

Morocco’s Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) pledged to work with Somalia on renewable energy development, while both sides agreed to pursue technical cooperation and an agricultural memorandum of understanding.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties, expand investment opportunities and support Somalia’s economic development.
