Somalia Launches Capacity Development Programme Under Groundwater for Resilience Project

Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources has hosted an orientation session for the Groundwater for Resilience (GW4R) Project Capacity Development Programme, a key initiative under the Horn of Africa Groundwater for Resilience Project (Abaartire).

The session brought together engineers and technical staff and focused on the programme’s structure, registration procedures, use of the online learning campus, and strategies for maximizing learning outcomes.

Director General for Human Resources and Training Abdifitakh Abdullahi Adan and GW4R Somalia Coordinator Mohamed Mukhtar Maalim highlighted the programme’s strategic importance in strengthening professional capacity and encouraged participants to make full use of the training opportunity.

The orientation was organized and facilitated by Communications Specialist and Programme Focal Person Mohamed Musa Aden.
