Somalia, FAO Discuss Strengthening Water Security Cooperation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Energy and Water Resources, H.E. Abdillahi Bidhaan Warsame, received the FAO in Somalia Representative to Somalia, Mr. Etienne, and his delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation on water security, including water infrastructure and investment priorities.

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and FAO agreed on concrete next steps to strengthen cooperation and preparations for the upcoming Somalia Water Summit, with a shared focus on accelerating water development and advancing sustainable solutions.
