Somalia, Ethiopia Pledge to Deepen Strategic Cooperation

Addis Ababa, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali at the National Palace in Addis Ababa, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

They discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership for the shared benefit of the two neighbouring countries, their peoples, and the wider region.

President Hassan Sheikh also congratulated Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on the recent electoral victory of the Prosperity Party, expressing his hope that the renewed mandate will usher the Ethiopian people into a new era of peace, development, and prosperity.
