Somalia, Brazil Discuss Strengthening Education and Trade Cooperation

Nairobi, (SONNA) — The Somali Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, welcomed Brazil’s Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. João Alfredo dos Anjos Junior, to the Somali Embassy for a working visit focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions focused particularly on exchanges and collaboration among educational institutions, students, faculty members and researchers.

Brazil pledged to launch scholarship opportunities for Somali students to study in Brazil, while the two ambassadors also discussed strengthening trade links between Somali entrepreneurs and businesses and major Brazilian companies.

The discussions highlighted education and trade as key areas for expanding opportunities and strengthening ties between Somalia and Brazil.
