Somalia, Australia Discuss Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation

Arusha, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jama), held an important meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Australia, Hon. Milton Dick, in the city of Arusha, Tanzania.

The meeting between the two Speakers focused on strengthening relations and cooperation between the Parliaments of Somalia and Australia, exchanging experiences in parliamentary work, and developing parliamentary diplomacy.

The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia was accompanied at the meeting by MP Ismail Eid Mohamed and Somalia's Ambassador to Tanzania and the East African Community, Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan.
