Somalia, Arab Parliament Speaker Discuss Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation

Arusha, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jama), held an important meeting with the President of the Arab Parliament, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, in the city of Arusha, Tanzania.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Somali Parliament and the Arab Parliaments, maintaining consultation, coordinating positions on matters of mutual interest, and elevating Somalia's role in parliamentary cooperation in the Arab world.
During their meeting, the Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jama), and the President of the Arab Parliament, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, emphasized the importance of the historical brotherly relations between Somalia, the Arab countries, and the Arab peoples as a whole, based on mutual respect, shared interest, and close brotherly cooperation.
Speaker Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur noted that Somalia places special importance on strengthening relations and parliamentary cooperation with Arab countries, and thanked the Arab governments for their support for Somalia's unity, sovereignty, national integrity, and territorial integrity.
