Somali Strategic Communication Forum 2026 Kicks Off in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Somali Strategic Communication Forum 2026 has officially opened in Mogadishu, bringing together government institutions, media organisations, civil society, development partners and other key stakeholders.

The forum is also attended by government officials, representatives from countries supporting Somalia, experts and members of different sections of society.

Discussions will focus on key issues affecting Somalia’s media sector, including media ethics, developments in modern media and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in media and communications.

The forum provides a platform for stakeholders to exchange views and experiences on strengthening media and strategic communication in Somalia.
