Somali Parliament Speaker Congratulates Public on Somali Flag Day

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jama), congratulated Somalis at home and abroad on Somali Flag Day, celebrated annually on October 12.

The Speaker highlighted the flag’s significance as a symbol of Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, dignity and national identity, noting that the occasion honours the history, struggle and sacrifices of Somali heroes who fought for the country’s freedom and independence.

He called on Somalis to uphold the flag’s dignity, strengthen national unity and work together to advance Somalia’s development, peace and statehood.
