Somali Officials Attend Regional Knowledge Exchange on Government Performance in Tanzania

Arusha, (SONNA) — An event aimed at Knowledge and experience-sharing sessions have opened in Arusha, Tanzania, bringing together senior Somali officials to strengthen public service delivery and accelerate the implementation of national development and transformation priorities.

Senior directors from Somalia’s ministries and economic development institutions, led by Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Prime Minister, Abdiraq Ibrahim, are participating in the sessions.

The discussions provide Somali officials with an opportunity to draw on regional experience in government performance, accountability, digital transformation, evidence-based decision-making and the use of research to inform economic policy.

The knowledge exchange is aimed at strengthening the performance and effectiveness of Somalia’s ministries and economic development institutions in delivering national priorities.
