Somali National Army Kills 14 Al-Shabaab Militants in Bay Operation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Somalia National Army, particularly the Danab special forces, carried out a planned operation overnight in the Buula Fulaay area of Bay region, according to the Ministry of Defence and military authorities.

The operation resulted in the deaths of 14 Al-Shabaab militants, while security forces also destroyed a hideout used by the group, the authorities said.

The raid is part of ongoing military operations aimed at degrading Al-Shabaab, strengthening security and restoring stability across Somalia.

The Ministry of Defence and the Somali National Army praised the troops for their bravery and sacrifice, saying operations against Al-Shabaab will continue until lasting peace, stability and security are achieved across the country.
