Somali Ministers Join Türkiye’s 104th Victory Day Commemoration in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, joined senior government officials and other Cabinet ministers at a ceremony in Mogadishu commemorating Türkiye’s 104th Victory Day, highlighting the longstanding and strategic partnership between Somalia and Türkiye.
The ceremony brought together Somali government officials and representatives of the Republic of Türkiye to mark the national occasion and celebrate the close ties between the two countries.
Minister Hosh reflected on Türkiye’s national journey as an example of how long-term vision, investment in strong institutions and the development of national capabilities can contribute to resilience and influence.
He linked Türkiye’s experience to Somalia’s ongoing state-building priorities, particularly the need to strengthen national institutions, security capacity and systems that can support the country’s long-term development.
The Minister also recognized Türkiye’s continued contribution to Somalia’s security, institutional development and wider stabilization efforts, noting that the bilateral relationship is increasingly defined by practical cooperation, mutual trust and shared long-term interests.
The participation of senior Somali ministers and government officials underscored the importance attached to the Somalia–Türkiye partnership and the growing cooperation between the two countries across strategic areas.
