Somali Army Chief, UK Military Commander Discuss Defence Cooperation

Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army Commander Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud met with the United Kingdom's Commander of Operations in Somalia, Col. Andy Seddon, to discuss strengthening defence cooperation and military ties between Somalia and the UK.

The two officials reviewed ways to enhance collaboration in defence and military operations, with Brig. Gen. Mohamud emphasizing the importance of deepening the longstanding relationship between the two countries and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Col. Seddon reaffirmed the UK government's commitment to supporting Somalia's efforts to improve security and stability, including strengthening the capabilities of the Somali National Army.
