Somali Army Chief Meets U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, held a meeting with Ms. Ruth Anne Stevens-Klitz, Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Somalia.

The meeting focused on strengthening defence cooperation, U.S. support for the Somali National Army, and accelerating collaboration between the two sides in the areas of security, training, and building the capacity of the forces.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing military cooperation and developing the capacity of the Somali National Army in order to strengthen the country's security and stability.
