SoDMA Prepares 10 Water Pump Engines for Flood-Prone Areas in Jubbaland

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in cooperation with the Jubbaland Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, has prepared 10 water pump engines for deployment to districts and areas in Jubbaland that are most vulnerable to flooding.

The water pump engines will be used to remove water from towns and areas affected by heavy rains and flooding, helping reduce potential losses and the impact on local communities.

The measure is part of efforts to strengthen early preparedness and early action to reduce the impact of flooding and other risks associated with expected heavy rains and flooding linked to Super El Niño.
