SoDMA Launches Cash Assistance Project for 130 Vulnerable Orphan Families

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamud Ma’allin Abdulle, today launched a cash assistance project supporting 130 vulnerable orphan families to help them meet their basic needs.
The project is supported by the Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, which has been providing humanitarian assistance and social support to communities in Somalia for many years.
The SoDMA Commissioner also inspected IHH facilities and programmes providing care and support to orphans and vulnerable children, commending the organisation’s efforts to assist disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.
Mohamud Ma’allin Abdulle expressed appreciation to IHH, the Government and people of Türkiye for their continued support to the Somali people, stressing the importance of cooperation between government institutions and humanitarian organisations in reaching people in need.
