Senior Somali Parliamentary Delegation Arrives in Baidoa for Southwest Leader’s Inauguration

Baidoa(SONNA)-Somalia's Acting Speaker and First Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, Sa'diya Yasin Haji Samatar, arrived in Baidoa on Saturday at the head of a parliamentary delegation to attend the inauguration of Southwest State President Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madobe).
The delegation was received at Baidoa Airport by President Madobe, federal and Southwest State ministers and lawmakers, traditional elders, and representatives of the local community.
The visit comes ahead of the official inauguration ceremony for the Southwest State leader, which is scheduled to take place in the coming days and is expected to draw senior federal and regional officials.
The ceremony is seen as a significant political event as Somalia continues efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Federal Government and its member states amid ongoing state-building and security initiatives.
