Senate Committee Holds Accountability Meeting with Youth and Sports Minister

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Senate Committee on Social Services Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Information and Culture today held an accountability and briefing session with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdulkadir Mohamed Ali, and other ministry officials.
The meeting focused on the ministry’s work programmes, sports development, the construction and rehabilitation of sports facilities, relations with Federal Member States and other key issues related to youth and sports affairs.
The minister responded to questions from committee members and provided details on the ministry’s priorities, particularly its role in developing sports, enhancing youth skills and creating opportunities for young people to develop their talents and creativity.
The meeting, chaired by Committee Chairman Senator Osman Mahmoud Mohamed (Dufle), was described as an important step in strengthening accountability, parliamentary oversight and performance assessment of government institutions, as well as cooperation between the Federal Government and Parliament.
