Security Minister Meets Federal Member State Ministers Responsible for Security

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartag), on Wednesday received the Ministers responsible for Security from South West State, Galmudug, Hirshabelle and North Eastern State at his office in Mogadishu.
The state ministers are in Mogadishu to participate in the National Conference on Internal Security, being held from 1–2 September 2026. The conference focuses on strengthening internal security, enhancing coordination among security institutions and advancing cooperation between the Federal Government and Federal Member States.
The meeting between the Federal Minister and the state security ministers focused on strengthening cooperation and coordination in security efforts, including aligning security plans and addressing the security challenges facing the country.
The Ministry of Internal Security continues to prioritize strengthening coordination and cooperation between federal and state-level security institutions to support a unified and effective national security framework.
