SNA Forces Target Al-Shabaab Explosives Cell in Lower Juba

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Somali National Army’s Danab Commandos, supported by international partners, carried out a planned operation on the outskirts of Harboole in Afmadow district of Lower Juba Region.

During the operation, the forces destroyed an Al-Shabaab explosives cell that was preparing and planting mines and explosive devices targeting roads used by civilian vehicles.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to degrade Al-Shabaab’s operational capabilities, protect civilians and ensure safe movement across the region.

The SNA said its forces will continue operations against Al-Shabaab to strengthen security and stability across Somalia.
